In 1920 Lawrence Mann Sr. and sons, a small farm family of Elkhorn, Wisconsin trapped and sold 85 prime mink. The proceeds generated from the sale were deposited on a one and a half ton dump truck and a small cat dozer, establishing a small construction business. A strong work ethic and a driven desire to succeed helped structure the foundation of a thriving organization.
In 1932 Lawrence Sr. passed his company interests to his three sons, Lawrence Jr. (Babe), Bob and Don, who were recognized as Mann Bros. Sand and Gravel. With fifty years of Babe's resilient leadership and Bob and Don's renowned foresight, the company grew from a significantly small operation to a total concept contractor.
In 1982 Richard Mann purchased Mann Bros. from his father Babe. Richard, a second generation construction working man, naturally applied his wisdom by sizably expanding and diversifying Mann Bros. |
